Beauty is such a fascinating word that it has inspired poets, writers, filmmakers and artists for centuries. The pursuit of beauty is something that comes so naturally to human beings. We feel a natural attraction towards anything which is beautiful. If we look for the definition of beauty, we will find thousands of them. Some people say beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, others come with a checklist of physical features that one must have to be called beautiful.

So what is true beauty? And another important question is does true beauty fade away with time or stays forever?

If we see at the most fundamental level of life, then the true beauty is something that radiates from your inner world. It has nothing to do with the outside world. The outside world can be a stimulus for the inner beauty to come out because its origin lies within. We all are endowed with true beauty and can experience it endlessly and effortlessly provided we know and understand what true beauty is!

A wise man has aptly said that a human being’s true beauty lies not in her appearance but deep within her heart! It means ” It is the heart that is important” when it comes to true beauty. True beauty shines from inside out. So ladies next time when you go on a shopping spree buying latest fashion and beauty products, don’t go mad about it because the priceless treasure of true beauty already lies in your heart. Make efforts to bring that inner beauty out and you will find your world shining like a twinkling star.  However, that does mean you don’t’ take care of your physical appearance. You must but focus more on accumulating the treasures of the heart.

And men out there, next time you come across a lady with great skin tone, chiseled features, great height, curvaceous body, don’t let her become your Achilles heels (no offense). Rather place the great weight of importance on how she is at heart. Of course, we must admire outer beauty too but the charm of inner beauty never fails to surpass the outer one.

A beautiful person chooses to be happy and peaceful. They smile; they laugh and make others smile. They radiate warmth and that is what draws other people towards them. No matter what their circumstances, they smile and overcome them courageously.


A beautiful person is someone who is compassionate and understands the sufferings of others. They hold on to their inner values and make efforts for the happiness of other people by encouraging and empowering them or helping them in some way or the other. They have that streak of selflessness. Being selfless doesn’t mean you keep doing things for others and neglect your wishes or dreams. It means valuing yourself and at the same time valuing others too.

Aware of inner potential

Their belief in themselves makes them beautiful. They not only know themselves well but also accept themselves and never try to be someone else. They are aware of their strengths and weaknesses. They never feel ashamed of their shortcomings, rather they embrace them and work on them.

Refrain from Blame game

A truly beautiful heart doesn’t entertain complaints and grudges. They avoid complaining or blaming and take charge of their situations with a positive attitude. They don’t hold grudges against people or the world for their problems; rather they take their problems as opportunities. They learn from their experiences of life and create value.

Attitude of gratitude

True beauty and gratitude go hand in hand. Beautiful people feel grateful for even smallest of things which not only adds to their happiness but also to their good fortune.

So tap the treasure of your inherent inner virtues and be beautiful for eternity!
