Hyperloop One is a startup company in Los Angeles, California founded by Josh Giegel & Shervin Pishevar in 2014. The CEO of the company is Rob Lloyd. Hyperloop One is working in the direction to commercialize itself for moving passengers at the fast speed of airline at a very minimal cost of a bus ticket. It is being considered as an energy-efficient and safe way of travel. The concept of Hyperloop One was introduced by Elon Musk in August 2013.

Working Of Hyperloop One

The Hyperloop One uses a linear electric motor to speed up or slow down a levitated pod through a low-pressure tube. The vehicles will silently slide for miles at a speed of up to 1,000 km/h without any turbulence. The whole system is entirely autonomous, quiet, and on-demand that will departure every 10-20 seconds and is built on columns or tunnelled underground. It requires a very smaller path to pass along the route as compared to the high-speed rail or highway.

Development of Hyperloop One Till Date

Hyperloop One tested its motor in 2016 in Las Vegas and is currently developing DevLoop, its full-scale system test track. They are expecting to test the entire system early in 2017. Hyperloop One is developing passengers and cargo system route in five countries, United States of America (USA), United Arab Emirates (UAE), Finland, Russia, and Switzerland. Their aim is to deliver the fully operational system by 2020 and make it available for the passengers by 2021.

Accessibility for Users

Hyperloop One has come up with the idea of connecting it to an application to make it accessible for users. Users will have to download that app on their mobile phones to enter their destination, and a self-driving car will be provided by Hyperloop or any third party like Uber, which will arrive and pick them up from their location. If users have an autonomous car of their own, they could summon it through the same app.

If Hyperloop One gets success in the final system test, it will be a huge revolution in the world of transportation. It will save the valuable time of people; congestion on the roads will be reduced to a greater extent and will contribute to keeping the environment pollution free.
